Some Good Things Have An End (Lori Harvey and Michael B Jordan)

Lori Harvey and Michael B Jordan were the beautiful power black couple. Sadly, some good things have to end including the relationship between the entrepreneur and actor. The two just celebrated their first anniversary in November 2021 but here we are right now, writing their break up story. Some people are shocked by the news while some are not. I won’t say they saw it coming but Lori has been rumoured to be dating a lot of popular men and breaking up after. People believe she used them for fame. She is from a wealthy home and she’s the step daughter of the TV personality, Steve Harvey, but she wasn’t famous until she started dating even though she already had a business/ career of her own.

Lori and Memphis Depay; These two got engaged in June 2017. Lori dated the dutch footballer and in the same year of her engagement, the media speculated a breakup between the two. Their breakup became official in the following year, 2018. Shortly after, she moved to Justin Combs.

Justin Combs is the son of the music mogul and rapper, Diddy. The two were rumoured to be seeing each other as they were found on so many occasions, loving up. Nothing was confirmed about their relationship. After a while, they weren’t an item anymore. It didn’t take months before the model was seen with the singer Trey Songz.

The two were spotted at two dinner dates and they even made a stop at a jewelry store together. Her ex, Memphis, didn’t seem like he cared because he even liked one of their pictures they had together. Just like the rumours started, they ended really fast.

After things ended with Trey Songz and Lewis, Lori was spotted hanging out with Diddy. Diddy had also posted her a couple of times on his Instagram and the two were even more public than her last three flings. Their romance only lasted for a few months but it had a lot of rumours about it.

There was one time Lori was spotted with a ring and rumours were flying that the couple were engaged but she shut them down using her Instagram story to pass a message. She wrote;

“I’m not engaged. Stop believing everything y’all read on a blog.”

Also, there were pregnancy rumours but all turned out to be false.

Diddy was seen with another woman after a while and Lori unfollowed the rapper immediately. This was what made the public know that things were over for both of them.

Another rapper, Lori definitely doesn’t go out with ‘ordinary’. You have to be known for something. The two kept on showing us a public display of affection, PDA. They did videos in the car, in the pool, in pictures…

Neither party confirmed their relationship but everyone figured it out themselves. Fans noticed that they unfollowed each other, so it was confirmed that the pair had split in 2020.

The couple started dating in November 2020 but they didn’t go Instagram official until January 2021. They first sparked romance rumours after they were seen at the Atlanta and Salt Lake City airports together in 2020. Although they post a lot of pictures together, loving up and cuddling, they never really told us anything personal. They kept their personal lives private.

How Did They Meet?

While speaking to Bustle in June 2021, Lori stated that she met her boyfriend through a mutual friend and when she saw him, she felt he was cute and he was so humble.

After months of speculation, the pair confirmed they were dating in January 2021.

One that same month, she posted a slide show of herself and her boyfriend. Michael Commented on her post with “Gimmeee!! Sheesh!! Happy birthday, Turtle.”

In February 2021, Lori shared a snap of both of them. It was Michael’s birthday and she captioned the picture, “Happy Birthdayyyyy Nugget.” The two went on a valentine’s vacation where Michael had rented out an aquarium.

Sometime in May, Lori talked about her upcoming skincare, SKNBYLH, and how Michael was her live test because she tested her products on him and herself. Micheal said he was proud of her when his on-set make-up artist complimented his skin.

Her father, Steve Harvey who was worried at first about the presence of a new boy in her life said that Michael was a great person and he was no longer worried because Lori was in good hands. In November 2021, they celebrated their first anniversary.

In January 2022, on her 25th birthday, Michael went all out to surprise her. She took to her Instagram to show off the surprise menu, balloons and the beautiful arrangement.

February, just right after Lori celebrated her birthday, Michael went on an interview with Steve Harvey. Steve ended the interview by asking Michael if he really loved Lori and he said, “Oh man. I do. For sure.” Michael was deeply In love with Lori and he showed it every little chance he got. 

In March 2022, the couple made their red carpet debut by attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

In May, we could see that everything was fine with their relationship and Michael posted his girlfriend’s MET Gala debut picture gushing all over Instagram about how beautiful she is. 

On the 5th of June 2022, People magazine confirms their breakup. Sad.

Why Did Michael B Jordan And Lori Break Up?

According to a close source to the couple, Lori was not ready for a long term commitment.

The source told People that Michael matured a lot and was ready for the long term but Lori wanted to be young and free. Lori is 25 and Michael is 35.

“Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time,” adds the source. “They had great times together and brought out the best in each other.”

Sometimes things have to end whether there’s love in it. If your partner doesn’t plan to take the next step with you then leave.

Do not date just for fun or fame? You are hurting the feelings of the other person and it’s so wrong. If you have an achievement you want to pursue and you feel marriage is something that will get you distracted, then that’s fine. But it’s even better if you let your partner know how you feel earlier so they can understand whether you both are on the same page.

Steve Harvey told the public that he’s team Lori and he’ll support his daughter 1000 percent. He went on to wish Michael well in the future. We wish him well too and we hope the both of them can heal faster.
