Viola Davis Inspirational Love Story – She Manifested Her Husband

Viola Davis is one of the strongest black female celebrities out there and while she might have battled with love and romance as a young growing girl, it became a thing of the last the money she met her husband, Julius Tennon.

She was feeling very lonely and alone and so, she began to voice out her thoughts and frustrations to people and it seemed the universe heard her too.

When she met her now husband, he was in a relationship with someone else.

They met on the set of City of Angels as cast mates.

Her husband,  Julius Tennon overheard her talking to a girl explaining how lonely it was being in LA and how she didn’t know or connect with anybody there.

While he was in a relationship, he felt compelled to be her friend and ended up giving her his card.

Viola on the other hand was very anxious about calling him. But, she eventually did and they went on a first date.

During their date, Viola found herself dealing with intense feeling of fear.

In a personal Interview with Black Love, she said,

“I was terrified because he told me exactly who he was ― he was absolutely honest about his past.”

He told her he was a single father and also had two children from other past relationships. Everything he told her was everything she had prayed for and manifested. Even better, he turned out to be a proper gentleman.

“He brought me home and he just said, ‘You are a very beautiful and nice woman, and it was a pleasure spending time with you.’ And he shook my hand.”

The both fell in love pretty quickly and tied the knots in 2003.

They also adopted a daughter and named her Genesis in 2011.

Viola revealed that after she got married, not only did her career take off hugely but, she also started to feel less lonely and more fulfilled.

She attributes her life getting better to her husband Julius:

That’s something she doesn’t take for granted as, every year, she celebrates their partnership on Instagram, letting the world know just how blessed she feels. 

“My life got sweeter, richer the day I met you. I love you like a big ole dog!!!” she gushed in 2017. A year later, she added: “The best 15 years of my life!! You are my heart.”

When the couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in 2019, she had even more touching words to share: “June 23rd, 2003 is when I married the greatest man!!! Thanks for loving me despite my bad credit! Look at how our life has grown. Love, love, love you Julius… with all my [heart].”

What’s the secret to their beautiful marriage?

Viola Davis revealed during an interview with People magazine that the best secret to a happy marriage is being intentional about your partner everyday.

In her own words she says

“I think that that’s what people forget when they fall in love with someone and it’s exciting. You have to get back to the everyday — the taking the garbage out, the cooking, the cleaning — and it’s something that I think really works with me and my husband.”
