Bishop David And Pastor Faith Oyedepo

This August 2025, Bishop David Oyedepo and his beloved wife, Pastor Faith Oyedepo, joyfully marked their 43rd wedding anniversary, sharing radiant photos and heartfelt gratitude on the official David Oyedepo Ministries International Instagram page. Their children also joined the celebration, offering emotional tributes that praised their parents’ model marriage and prayed for God’s continuing grace over their home and ministry.

The Meeting That Changed Everything

Their love story began in the most unexpected place: a motor park. Faith, then Florence Abiola Akano, was a university student at the University of Ife, while David was a hopeful polytechnic student at Kwarapoly. Despite a significant difference in status, she responded to his bold, faith-driven approach, one that included a commitment document he asked her to sign, affirming their path together.

Faith wasn’t just a supportive partner; she was the first person to hear David’s vision for a faith-based ministry. Together, they shaped what would become Living Faith Church Worldwide, more popularly known as Winners’ Chapel.

Faith: The Woman Behind the Ministry

Born on February 5, 1958, Faith studied at the University of Ife and became a committed Christian at a young age. Since marrying David in 1982, she’s served as co-pastor of the global Winners’ Chapel network. Her roles include teaching, counselling, and empowering women, youth, and families. Faith is also the Chancellor of Covenant University and a prolific author, with titles such as Raising Godly Children, Success in Marriage, and Rescued from Destruction, inspired by her own testimony of recovery.

  • Ministry Impact: Over four decades, Bishop David and Pastor Faith have built one of Africa’s largest church networks, with branches globally and megachurch sites like Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland—an auditorium seating over 50,000 worshippers, rising to over 100,000 attendees in recent years.

  • Educational Influence: As chancellors of Covenant University and Landmark University, they’ve shaped generations through quality education infused with faith.

Family: Their Legacy of Love

David and Faith

Married since 1982, the Oyedepos are parents to four devoted children: David Jr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce. Their children are also actively serving in ministry. David Jr. and Isaac have held roles within the church leadership. Love is married to Pastor Stephen Ogah, and Joyce Priscilla followed suit in 2020. The family’s influence now spans into a growing number of grandchildren.

Keys to Their Timeless Bond

  • Shared Vision & Faith: Their marriage was founded on a shared divine call—a calling Faith chose to embrace early on.

  • Mutual Support and Ministry Partnership: Faith’s leadership behind the scenes has been a backbone—supportive, strategic, and prayerful.

  • Witness through Generations: Their home is not only an example of a thriving marriage but also of a family rooted in spiritual legacy and excellence.

The Oyedepos’

Bishop David and Pastor Faith Oyedepo’s journey stands as a powerful testament that marriage founded on faith, humility, and shared purpose can flourish beautifully over time. Their 43-year union isn’t just a celebration—it’s a legacy of love, ministry, and faithful endurance. As their story continues, they remind us that when God is at the centre, marriages become beacons of hope for many.
