Saweetie And Quavo; From Strangers To Lovers Back To Strangers

Sweetie and Quavo went from being the IT couple to becoming every relationship’s night mare. From strangers to friends to lovers and finally strangers once again. What really happened between them?

Who is Saweetie?

Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper with the stage name “Saweetie” is an American Rapper who shot to stardom after her debut single Icy back in 2018. 

She was born in July 1993 in Santa Clara California. At the age of 13, Saweetie started to write rap songs. She is known for her sassy upbeat and trendy beats and tempo.

Saweetie also has a daring fashion sense, never afraid to switch it up. The beauty star also is a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in the University Southern California.

Who is Quavo Huncho?

Quavo Huncho is an American rapper who first shot to fame as part of a hip hop trio “The migos” consisting  of hip hop rapper Takeoff and Offset.

They hit the mainstream music world with their single Versace. Currently, he is working on a career for himself alone separate from the the group. However, they still occasionally release songs together.

How Saweetie And Quavo Met.

The pair met in Instagram. In an intimate interview couple question with GQ Quavo revealed that Saweetie had popped up on his Instagram and had immediately piqued his interest.

He had proceeded to to shoot his shot in her Dms.  In March 2018, he sent a snowflake emoji in reference to her hit song “Icy girl”.

Saweetie replied with a bowl of noodles also a reference to the Migos song “stir fry”.

Quavo then sent back a message that read “u so icy imma glacier boy”, Saweetie  followed that up with “was hannin then”.

They two were spotted out a couple of times times together but sources chalked it up to it being just a rumor.

In August of 2017, Saweetie made an appearance in Quavo’s Workin it video.

The chemistry between the couple was clear to see in the video, and after the video, they were practically inseparable.

During the 2018 Billboard music awards, Saweetie talked openly about her relationship with Quavo.

“He is so seasoned. He has so many accomplishments so he just teaches me in the studio, with my writing, with everything that comes with the game, so I really appreciate him.”

Saweetie And Quavo Valentine’s Day

In 2020, Quavo displayed his love for Saweetie on Valentine’s Day when he arranged to have her woken up to a violinist playing the beat to her hit song My Type. He shared the romantic moments with us on his instagram stories.

Also, in 2021, Quavo on Valentine’s Day, took Saweetie on an intimate Valentine’s Day dinner.

Sweetie wore a gorgeous green Felipe dress.

He also sent  her roses days before the actually Valentine’s Day.

Saweetie and Quavo Cheating Rumors 2019

Quavo’s relationship with Saweetie experienced a shift when a woman named Lashae Clair claimed Quavo hit on her. She posted screenshots of an alleged Facetime call with Quavo and wrote:

“This probably going to get deleted. But I’ve been talking to Quavo for the last couple of months.

He doesn’t really love that girl if he did he wouldn’t be talking to me. There’s just soo much to unfold that I’ve learned from him & Offset.”

It was obvious that she was determined to get her voice heard because she continued on her tirade.

She stated that Quavo texted her on Instagram, and that they had both planned to spend some quality time together when he came around to New York.

While her story was an interesting one, it did not look very credible. Her story looked like one big sham from the beginning. She did not have enough credible evidence to support her claim.

Quavo and Saweetie responded to the Lashae via a photo of the couple posted on Quavo’s Instagram page. Quavo wrote an instagram caption attached to the picture. “G N F. Give No Fuks.”

 

Saweetie And Quavo Break Up

In March of 2021, Saweetie announced on Twitter that she was single. Her tweet reads

“I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character,” Saweetie wrote. Her next statement appeared to accuse Quavo of cheating and attempting to apologize using gifts.

“Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women,” she added.

Quavo responded to her tweet in a very rare mention about his private life. This was to make sure that there were no false narratives according to him.

The Migos star stated

“You are not the woman I thought you were,” he tweeted. “I wish you nothing but the best.”

Sweetie replied under his tweet with a simple statement.

“Take care”.

The drama didn’t end there as, a couple of weeks later, a video showing Saweetie and Quavo fightingon an elevator surfaced. The one-and-a-half-minute clip shows Quavo and Saweetie fighting over an orange case. Quavo can be seen pulling Saweetie into an elevator, where they resume their fight.

This showed that their relationship was not the easy going loved up relationship we all thought it was.

The pair have since not entertained any extra relationship dramas and are both focusing on themselves since their break up.

While they were the ideal social media couple, In real life, it was a whole lot different.

This is a lesson to not judge your life basing it off the lives of others on social media. Remember, it is only snippets that you see.
