As a little girl, she lived with her mother in a public yard (face me I face you) and her mother had to work different jobs to be able to provide for them.

Her mother was also a teacher and taught her a lot as she grew up.

Despite her upbringing, she turned out to become a success and has featured in top grossing movies such as The Figurine, Wives On Strike, Sugar Rush and so on.

Omotola Jolade Ekeinde

Omotola Ekeinde is defintely one of Nollywood’s gems. The sexy beautiful mother of 4 has defintely left her mark in the sands of time.

As easy as her life might seem now, she was dealt a blow as a young growing girl.

She lost her dad at a young age and before her dad passed away.

His death meant that they had to start living below what they were originally used to.

Her mother had to take care of her and her siblings all  alone and was very scared for their future.

Her mother was also very principled with her owing to the fact that she was girl. She did not want her to gain money from men through immoral ways because of the the lack of funds in their family.

Omotola was a very confused young girl growing up, but eventually luck shine on them and she kickstarted her acting career.

Today, their financial struggle has become a thing of the past.

Ramsey Nouah

Ramsey Nouah was also raised by a single parent.

He was raised by him mum alone and he recalls things being so bad for him mother sometimes that they would have nothing to eat.

“We had to stay in a store, a small store that could take only one mat.

My mother and I squeezed ourselves in that mat. We didn’t even have a cup to drink water not to talk of a stove to cook. And my mother had to borrow, beg and stuff like that. These were moments when I was young I didn’t realize the gravity of poverty we were in, I couldn’t tell. But it was a good orientation for me. It was moments that I thank God for making me past through, because that has sustained and helped me even as an actor.”

Ramsey Nouah is however grateful that he was raised they way that he was. According to him, his experience has made him humble because the person you disregard today, might just be your savior tomorrow.

“My dad fully supported me. He even took me to my first audition. I mean, my dad raised me alone as he was a single father; so, it was the only opinion that mattered and he was in full support .”
