The sensational singer, Tiwa Savage,  has had her share of heartbreak and failed marriage even though she’s an epitome of beauty. The singer has been rumoured to be in different relationships and some of them have been debunked while some are just there and we are left to fix the puzzles by ourselves.

Who Is Tiwa Savage?

Tiwatope Savage is a British-Nigerian singer-songwriter who started her music career at the age of 16. Unlike her career, she has had quite a rough journey when it comes to love and relationships. She’s divorced, and a single mother of One, Jamil Balogun. She always gets people to talk about her lifestyle , beautiful voice or her semi-nude pictures.

Tiwa’s Love Story

Ever since Tiwa got married to Tee Billz she has been rumoured to be romantically linked with one artist or the other. The singer has tried her best to keep her relationship private because that’s how much she values her love life but fans won’t stop pairing and pairing. They never get tired. Tiwa once posted on her Instagram that nobody has to understand your relationship except you and your partner. She stated that it was a relationship and not a community project. This was after people started pairing her up with Wizkid.

She has been paired with singers like Wizkid, Naira Marley, Humble Smith, Patoranking, Flavour and Olamide. She has also had a phase when her sex video was leaked on a Monday night. This was on the 18th of October 2021.

This made her lose endorsement and partnerships but the singer bounced back in no time. Before going any further, let’s talk about her three years of marriage with Tee Billz.

Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz (The Beginning, A Child, The End)

Tiwa Savage met her ex-husband Tee Billz at a concert in Los Angeles for the first time. Tee Billz is an artist manager and the two started on a business note. Tiwa was a London-based artist and she wanted to start up her career In Nigeria. Although she was in Mohit Record, now Mavin, her contract had expired.

Before the concert, Tiwa had already sent some of her music records to the artist manager but unfortunately, he never gave her a response. As fate will have it, Tiwa was introduced to Tee Billz by her friend that day at the concert. They started working together and soon they started dating.

The two got married in 2013. It was one of the weddings that were celebrity-filled. They had their traditional wedding on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at the Ark in Lekki, Lagos.

It was glamorous with celebrities coming in with eye-blinding designs. The white wedding was the following year on Saturday, the 26th of April at Armani Hotel, Dubai.

We can say that nobody got over this wedding. It was extremely beautiful and the fans of Tiwa were happy that their fave got to settle with the love of her life. In June 2015, a year after their white wedding, they had a son, Jamil Balogun.

They made a lot of people love them and thank God for their union. It was a picture-perfect union up until 2016 when their beautiful marriage turned to dust. The issue started on April 28, 2016, when Tee Billz accused his mother-in-law of witchcraft and he said Tiwa was sleeping with men. About 24 hours later, Tiwa granted Pulse TV and This Day Newspaper a 45 minutes emotional video interview about how she has been treated in her marriage. She talked about infidelity from Tee Billz, how he stole her money and dragged her into debt since he became her manager, how he abused drugs and she also debunked the news saying she slept with her colleagues like Don jazzy, Dr Sid and Tuface. She claimed that they were just associates in the music industry and there were no strings attached.

Not so long after the video surfaced, Tee Billz tried to kill himself by trying to jump off the third mainland bridge. They said he was rescued by Banky W and Peter Okoye from the defunct music group, P square. We are still wondering if the three were together or if they just randomly saw him trying to jump. Let’s not shake any table and move on.

After so many interventions from family, friends and fans, the two came back together in 2017 and they were low-key about their reunion. In March 2018, Tiwa came out to say that the marriage had ‘unsolvable issues’ and they were getting a divorce. Someone didn’t learn their lesson from their last break. The two went their separate ways and Tiwa has Jamil in her custody and care. After Tiwa left Tee Billz, it has been speculation upon speculation. No one has confirmed any of the dating rumours that surfaced on the internet.

Tiwa And WizKid

Shortly after the drama with Tee Billz, fans started to suspect that the singer was going out with her colleague, Starboy Wizkid, who she Is 11 years older than. They even made things worse after Wizkid used Tiwa as a video vixen in his hit song, Fever in 2018.

Their romance didn’t last but it was the cover and headline of every news. Tiwa mentioned that when no one was there for her Wizkid stood by her and she can’t deny her love for him and how he puts a smile on their face. The two were very entertaining. Tiwa said in an interview with Beat FM 99.9, where she debunked the rumours of her and Wizkid that it was just about friendship and business. She termed them, ‘friends with benefits’ saying the little benefits were that they had shows together, made music together and also made money together. We believe they pulled another Simi and Falz on us. Interesting!

Tiwa And Naira Marley

Don’t worry, there’s nothing much to see here, just people being people. Bringing rumours and raising false news. Tiwa was also romantically paired with Street Singer and Rapper, Naira Marley after she called herself a Marlian. Marlian’s are fans of Naira Marley and she declared her love for him.

Tiwa Savage’s Sex Video

Everything was going well for the singer till someone leaked her video with a man she tagged as her lover. Before then, she had alerted the public that someone was in possession of a video where she was intimate with her ‘lover’ and the person was trying to blackmail her.

Not so long after, the video was leaked by an anonymous Instagram blogger. Of course, a lot of Nigerians reacted and she reportedly lost four major endorsement deals.

From this whole article, I’ll be pointing out some lessons to learn.

1. Stop recording yourself and your partner being intimate. STOP IT!!

2. Whatever is forced can never last: Just like how friends and family forced Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz to get back together and how fans forced Kiddwaya and Erica. Yes, you might need an instigator, maybe someone to pair you up, set you up on a blind date but nothing should be forced. Once it’s forced, it ends in tears. Premium one. 

3. Keep your matters private. No need for online in-laws and validation. As Tiwa said, the only person that should understand your relationship is you and the other party.

Tiwa is currently in London organising concerts and having the time of her life! We are happy she’s very much ok and is kicking fine.

She is also in a cordial relationship with her ex-husband and he comes to visit their son from time to time.
