The 7 C’s of Healthy Relationships work hand in hand. If even one of these is not present, it can split two people apart.

A relationship between two people is like a child that has to be nurtured with the right values and brought up with a great sense of affection and devotion. There is no right way or algorithm to build A perfect relationship. Every relationship is different from the other and has its ups and downs. However, Healthy relationships have a common theme.  Here are the 7 C’s of healthy relationships:

1) Communication

The place of communication in a relationship cannot be stressed enough. Counselors say that most problems between couples can get sorted when there is open, free, and effective communication. When there is no or poor communication, conflict, misinformation, mistrust, hurt, anger and misunderstandings fester, which can be prevented easily.

2) Commitment

Commitment is a mindset: A commitment-minded person is dedicated to a cause or activity.  Yes, just like some tasks, relationships can get rough and uncomfortable, and one’s level of commitment is what dictates whether one can work through those challenges.

3) Compatibility

Compatibility is relatively straightforward. Similar tastes, lifestyles, political or religious views, etc. This doesn’t suggest that the individuals would have similar tastes all the time— it’s more about the compatibility of ideas. Compatibility in a relationship means that both partners understand and accept each other’s life philosophy and goals.

4) Compromise

Compromise is giving up something to reach a place of understanding with your partner. It is more about letting go of the right to be right. Compromise is about knowing and accepting that it is more important to be in the right relationship than being right. It is sometimes about giving in but it should rarely be about giving up.

5) Chemistry

It’s that special thing that draws you into someone and creates a natural flow between you two. The truth is that sexual chemistry and attraction are a vital part of a healthy relationship. Moreover, It serves as a barometer for the level of emotional comfort between partners. If there is a sudden lack of physical intimacy, it likely means there is a deeper-rooted cause that communication could help bring to light.

6) Concern

Concern means to relate to or to affect, to interest or engage, or to worry. Concern, empathy, and sympathy are essential in every relationship. Showing genuine concern for one’s partner creates feelings of security and points to the partner being emotionally invested in you.

7) Care

Caring is a wonderful and crucial component of any successful relationship. Caring is often the outward demonstration of an inward feeling or emotion. Its strengths are compassion, dedication, and thoughtfulness. Care leaves the people involved feeling valued in the relationship.
