Who has Taraji Henson Dated?

Taraji Penda Henson is an American actress and singer. She was born in 11 September, 1970.

While Taraji has been in a lot of notable movie shows, she is most known for her role in the movie Empire as  “Cookie Lyon”.

When she’s not performing  Oscar worthy performances on movie sets, Taraji likes  likes to keep her intimate and relationship life really private. She loves to be under the radar a lot of the times and it is understandable if you do not know anything about her relationship life.

Taraji Henson And Michael Ealy

Maraji and Michael Ealy started in the popular movie adaptation “Think like a man”. Onscreen, they had a pretty hot and heavy relationship going on and we found ourselves at different stages asking if this also translated to real life.

Well…Was this an onscreen romance of an offscreen romance?

Michael Ealy finally put this question to rest during an episode of the Wendy Williams Show.

When asked about him and Taraji Henson’s relationship, he replied

“I know where this is coming from because after the film Taraji was stalking me a little bit. I think that’s what’s really spawning all of these rumors. So I told her, you know, you gotta stop. It was just a movie. Um, but, no, no seriously, we’re not together. But I guess we sold it onscreen because a lot of people believed that.”

Their chemistry was really raw and tangible so it makes a lot of sense that people would have speculations and questions about their love life. Thanks to him, the rumors were quickly shut down.

Taraji Henson And Lamar Odom

In a surprising revelation, Lamar Odom spilled on TV one Uncensored that he had actually being in a relationship with Taraji Henson prior to his marriage with Khloe Kardashian.

He recalled that they met for the first time at a  a HBO party.

“I met Taraji at a HBO party. I met her, we hit it off right away and I remember I really, really, really started liking her and I just wish I would have done things different with her.

“She was a little older than me but I learned a lot from her because that was the most significant relationship, as a grown up, that I had with a Black woman.

He wishes he could have handled smithing a differently in the relationship.

He went on to say

He said in the interview: “Things ended with me and Taraji because be being an immature punk, I didn’t know how to tell her I was falling in love with another woman named Khloe Kardashian.”

The former Lakers player acknowledged in the clip: “I just wish I could have respected women a lot more. Maybe I should have respected them a lot more from not having a mother. For some reason — I don’t know — I just over did it.”

All the information we’ve gotten about their relationship has been given to us by Lamar Odom himself.

Taraji Henson is yet to spill any information concerning his statement.

Taraji Henson And Common

In October, 2005 Common and Taraji started to develop a connection and attraction with each other.

However, neither of them would admit to their romance for a long time. Finally In 2011, after being linked to so May relationships she confirmed that she had been in a relationship with Common but they were no longer together.

She however, debunked other rumors about her love life.

 

Taraji Henson And Hill Harper

In an episode of Unsung Hollywood, Hill speaks on his relationship with Taraji Henson.

He described their relationship as amazing while it lasted. He also hinted at his fear of commitment to her being a part of being raised from a divorced family.

In his words

“Taraji Henson and I were in a relationship for about a year and a half, two years. Wonderful relationship,” he said. “Just because you’re in a healthy, great relationship that ends doesn’t mean it wasn’t successful or it was a failure. Not all relationships are meant to end in marriage.”

Taraji Henson And Kelvin Hayden

In 2020, on Mother’s Day, Taraji reveals via instagram that she was engaged to Kelvin Hayden. Kelvin Hayden is a former NFL player.

In December 2017, Taraji shared to the whole world that she was in a relationship where she was really really happy.

“I’m happy in my personal life. Finally, it has happened to me! You know, I’m not the type to blast my personal business, but you know, I think that it’s important for people to know that I’m happy. I’m very very happy. I just am. We’ve been together for two years. And no one would really know that because I don’t blast my info like that but I’m very happy.”

On Christmas Day, Kelvin Hayden gifted Taraji a puppy as Christ Anna present.

While they dated, Taraji had seems to be very happy. They attended so many events together and went out on cute date nights.

On instagram,  they went on a court-side date; how fun!

Taraji even posted some instagram shots with the caption and hashtag  “forever kind of love”.

 

It was apparent to all that Taraji was certain she had met her “everlasting” love.

Unfortunately, in April of 2021, after some months and speculations of them breaking up, she confirmed her relationship status on “The Breakfast Club”

She revealed

“I’m dedicated to the black man, y’all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I hadn’t said it yet, but it didn’t work out,” Henson said. “I tried. I was, like, therapy. Let’s do the therapy thing, but if you’re both not on the same page with that then you feel like, you’re taking it on yourself, and that’s not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.”

This was a confirmation that the pair were no longer in a relationship.

She went on to say this

“My happiness is not his responsibility and his happiness is not mine,”. We have to first learn how to make ourselves happy to make each other happy.

And so, when one person is taking the weight of the entire relationship, it’s never gonna work. You have to show up and yes you want to be understanding but you can’t lose yourself in that understanding.

You have to still stand up for yourself and be there for yourself. But it’s hard to do if the other person is doing that part either. That’s why relationships are so difficult—they’re difficult”.

Taraji is currently single (at least as much as we know as outsiders) but she seems happy and healthy gauging by her instagram posts and stories.

She is still optimistic that she will find love again and hopefully the next relationship she gets into will be endgame for her.
