Ghanaian Rapper Sarkodie and Tracy share a love story that is sure to make your heart melt.
Sarkodie might be an international African star but has tried to keep his over 10 year relationship with his wife private .
Sarkodie got married to Tracy back in 2008 and the gorgeous couple share two beautiful children together named, Titi and Michael Junior.
Before getting married to his wife in 2018, it was reported that Sarkodie had known for a very long time. He had just kept that aspect of his life very private.
How Did Sarkodie And Tracy Sarkcess Meet?
During a Television Interview with Host, Berla Mundi, Tracy revealed more intimate details about her relationship with Sarkodie before they tied the knot.
Tracy and Sarkodie lived in the same neighborhood while growing up, but, unknown to her, Sarkodie harbored feelings for her. He saw her as more than just a neighbor on the street.
She was completely in the dark about this until a few days before she was set to leave for Germany.
Her cousin told her that Sarkodie had always had strong feelings for her, unfortunately at the time, she was just about to leave Nigeria and so they did not get to explore anything.
Sarkodie was also very shy, so, she understood why he never really approached her to to tell her himself.
She was from a well to do family and very focused on her academics. She did not envision a future where she will actually be with Sarkodie for life.
Tracy Did Not Believe In His Music At First
Tracy revealed that at first she did not believe that Sarkodie would reach heights with his music and at some point contemplated sending him to Germany.
She needed to be certain of what was In store if they decided to go ahead with their relationship and one day, get married:
Speaking about what she likes about Sarkodie and why she even decided to marry him, Tracy said Sarkodie was a visionary gentleman who possessed good leadership skills.
“My husband, I don’t know how to describe him. He is blessed with a vision and creates a vision—tells you what he sees. As a woman, if you find someone like that, who has his head in the right place, you will know he was the right person.”
Sarkodie Speaks On How He Started Dating Tracy
From Sarkodie’s Point Of view, he recalls that Tracy was a bit mean to him at first.
According to him, after leaving in Germany for many years, she came back home to Ghana and called him to let him know.
He was recording some music in the studio when he heard the information that she was back in Ghana. At the time, Sarkodie remembers going through an intense heartbreak and was refocusing his energy into making music. So, when he heard she was back, he was over joyed.
He was so ecstatic that he immediately rushed to see her, however, after meeting her, he was left very disappointed.
He noticed that she was very close to a lot a guys and then she also told him that he looked “so grown”. According to him, that was something about the way she said it that made him feel bad.
“I got really mad when she said to me that I was grown. I was mad. She came to apologize and that led to what you see today,”
After she apologized, things just flowed naturally from them on and they started dating, the rest they say is history.
When Sarkodie was asked why he knew Tracy was the one this is what he had to say,
“The reason I knew it was her is that I have no reason. I have my spec and every man has that, but with her, I have no reason.“
