Pete Edochie – Love, Life and Family

Pete Edochie, Nollywood prodigy and superstar was born in March 7, 1947 born March 7. He is seen as one of Nigeria’s and Africa’s most versatile and gifted actors. Peter Edochie is also seen as an inspiration to other actors and actresses in his field.

He has won numerous awards in the course of his journey as an actor. From receiving the merit award from the industry from African Magic to receiving a Lifetime achievement Award from the Academy Film Academy, he has definitely sowed and reaped his creative talent.

Besides his acting career, Pete Edochie also used to be an administrator as well a TV broadcaster.

Pete Edochie’s acting career started to gain momentum after he played the role of Okonkwo in the very famous Novel by Chinua Ache  “Things Fall Apart”Zlatan.

This paved the way for him to start getting more high ranking nollywood movies.

Inspite of his obvious acting career, Pete Edochie is also a family man to the core. He got married to his wife Josephine Edochie and they both share 6 children together.

Pete Edochie tied the knot with Josephine Edochie at a very early  age of just 22. The young couple had 6 children, 5 boys and just one girl.

How did the lovebirds meet?

The young lovebirds found each other while working together in a broadcasting industry.

They both made a connection with a each other and after a short while, Pete asked for Josephine’s hand in marriage. Of course she said yes, the rest they say is history.

Who is Josephine Edochie?

Josephine Edochie besides being the wife to Pete Edochie is also a professional lawyer, broadcaster, and also a thriving businesswoman amongst others.

She  was born in Anambra State in Nigeria’s South Eastern region; she is an Igbo woman who has been raised in the African tradition and is well exposed to Igbo cultural and moral values.

She has a very private life so not much is known about her exact age or date of birth .

The list of the children they both share together include;

Yul Edochie, Linc Edochie, Dani Edochie, Kambi Edochie, Karl Edochie etc.

Yul Edochie and Linc Edochie are the only ones out of his 6 children that ventured  into the acting scene.

Yul Edochie has made a big name for himself in the Nollywood industry and his brother Linc isn’t also far behind.

The family seems to have a unitrd front amidst media speculations and controversies and we are hoping they all continue to thrive and grow together successfully.
