Louis’s Story
I met Chika on Instagram. She had commented on a blog post and I had responded to her. She replied my comment almost immediately and I decided to slide into her DM to continue the conversation.
I went to her Instagram page and was pleasantly surprised that she was a gorgeous woman.
Her last photo was one she had posted in 2020 and even though the quality of the camera was a bit poor, she still looked really pretty.
For the first 3 days, I messaged her consistently but i noticed she didn’t respond to me.
I almost gave up but the photos of her I had seen kept me fueled and so I kept texting her until she finally responded to me.
We began to talk every other day and even moved our conversation from the DMs to talking to on the phone.
Her voice was soft, it perfectly matched the face on the instagram page.
I eventually decided it was time for us to meet.
I set up a date with her, 4 weeks after we’ve been talking.
I made sure I looked my best. I wasn’t the most handsome man on the block, but at least I knew how to dress.
When we finally met, I was surprised to notice that she looked a little different from her photo.
She liked even prettier, more curvy and just more womanly.
I was absolutely delighted that she not only met my expectations but also exceeded it.
We had the best time on the date. Or at least, so I thought.
When I got home that night, I called her multiple times to make sure she had gotten home on time but she did not pick any of my call.
That surprised me.
The next morning, I tried to reach out to her again, but once again she did not respond to me.
She did not respond to me till a week after our date.
She sent me a message on a Saturday and she explained that she could not continue to see me because I did not fit the picture she had in mind physically.
She told me I was way too short for her and she explained to me that long term she would not be able to cope.
I was really hurt. But at the same time, there was nothing I could do about her decision.
Before this incident happened, I genuinely did not believe that a person’s physical attributes was enough reason to not want to be in a relationship with them.
After Chika, I realized that a majority of people were very fixated on physicalities when looking for a relationship.
