Taaoma is easily one the most famous female comedians we have in the entertainment scene currently. For most GenZs she is a comedy icon. With so many hilarious skits under her belt, the 23 year old has truly made a name for herself in the Nigerian Industry.

Taaoma

Even though her videos and skits have naturally gained her popularity in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, she loves to keep her personal life as private as possible.

Yet, it still came as a shock to Nigerians when she dropped the news that she was engaged and getting married to one Abdulazeez Oladimeji-Greene.

Even though this shouldn’t be surprising in the least because it seems like a very “Taaoma-like” thing to do, her young age did keep people curious a little bit.

How did they lovebirds meet?

According to Taaoma, she met her husband when he came for his NYSC in Ilorin. At the time she was still a student and he was a friend to her brother.

He was doing some video shoots and she expressed interest in learning them and he obliged her request and started teaching her.

He started visiting their home frequently to teach her the ropes of video shooting and video editing.

When he was done with his service at Ilorin and he left, she had to start watching some YouTube videos so that she could learn more about videos. However, even though he had traveled back to Lagos, they still kept in touch and were communicating almost on a daily basis.

It was during that period that things started growing  more heated between them and they got into a full relationship.

She has cited her man Abdulazeez Oladimeji-Greene as a huge  influence on her rise to stardom.

During an interview with Saturday Beats, she revealed that she was very happy  to have gotten her proposal in Namimbia because it was a country that was dear to her heart.

Getting proposed to was also a shock for her because she wasn’t expecting it at all being in the peak of her career and also being just 21 at the time she got engaged.

She expressed that her parent were very elated when she got engaged and were already expecting it.

Abdul on the other hand also spilled details of their engagement. He said  that he had wanted to make Taaoma his wife 4 years ago but had to wait for the right time to do it. She was really young when they met and still trying to navigate schooling with her comedy, so he was sensitive about that and did not want to hinder her progress.

He explained that dating for him was never something he had to indulge in for fun and he always had the intention of getting married to the person he was dating. He also owes this to his Muslim background.

Opening about his surprise proposal to her, he admitted that he had chosen Namimbia as the country to propose because she was in love with the place and would consistently mention its name during normal conversations.

He of course had to seek for her parents consent before proposing and he was not surprised that the acquiesced because he already had a healthy relationship with them.

He felt really nervous at first about proposing to Taaoma on that particular day but he went on with it anyway and luckily for him, she said yes.

Taaoma And Abdul’s Wedding

It seems the pair decided to have a very private wedding because the public were not made aware of any part of it. However, Taaoma’s post on January of 2022 celebrating their one year wedding anniversary confirms that they both had secretly tied the knot.

In the post which she put up on social media, she wrote

Her husband Abdualazeez also took to his own instagram to announce their one year wedding anniversary.

“One year down, forever to go! Got u for life Mrs Greene,”

He also shared cute photos of himself and Taaoma.

If keeping your personal life private was a person it would of course be Taaoma. With the rate of celebrity marriages and separations, it is completely understandable why she might feel very protective of her marriage. After all what the popular saying  “what people don’t know, they can’t ruin”.
