Stan Nze And His Wife Jessica Obasi Are Proof That Age Is Just A Number

Stan Nze does not lose an opportunity to tell the public just how lucky he is to be married to his wife, Jessica Obasi.

Despite their unusual age difference, they are a picture of absolute love and pure contentment.

Who is Stan Nze?

Stan Nze is a Nigerian actor known most famously for his role in the movie “Rattle Snake: The Ayanna Story”. He played the lead role in the movie and went on to win the AMVCA award for the best male actor in a drama series.

How Stan Nze Met His Wife

Stan Nze during an interview with ThisDay Magazine revealed that he did not meet his wife who is an actress during the course of acting together as most people believed. He said they became friends way before they started shooting scenes together.

He also revealed that people  tried to warn him against getting married to his wife simply because of their age difference. She was 10 years his senior, while it is quite usual for men to be older than their partners with that age difference,  In the Nigerian society it is quite unusual for women to be older than their men especially with 10 solid years between them.

However, he was a man in love who had found peace with this one woman, so despite the pressures from people around him, he was convinced he wanted to spend his forever with her.

When he was asked if he will be acting alongside his wife in the same production, Stan Nze said:

“We have done a lot of movies together. We have films that we are working on. I mean we don’t sort of plan it you know. After we have gotten married we have acted together maybe. But before we got married we did a lot of films together.

Most of the films coming out now are the films we did before we got married. We don’t say ‘oh because we are marred now we should create husband and wife roles’. We don’t plan it we just go with the tide.  If there’s a script we should play love interest, fine.”

Stan Nze And Jessica Obasi’s engagement

Stan originally wanted to take his wife Jessica Obadi on a trip abroad so that he could propose to her there, however, she had a movie she was currently working on so he had to they had to cancel that trip.

It was also the period of  his birthday and Jessica decided to plan a little surprise birthday party for him.

Unknown to her, her friends kept him in the loop and he also decided to propose to her that night.

At the end of the surprise birthday dinner for Stan, while giving his vote of thanks, he knelt down and proposed to her.

Imagine trying to surprise someone only to end up surprised.

They adorable lovebirds first shed some emoticons tears before Jessica said yes to him and he slid the ring down her finger.

Stan Nze And Jessica Obasi Get Married

Stan Nze and his wife Jessica Obadiah, tied the knot on September of 2021. Im a recent chat with BBC news pidgin after his wedding, he reveals that he chose to settle down with his wife forever because she gives him peace and that he hs found his rib in her.

He also went on to say that she was everything he could ever wish for in a woman, and definitely the woman of his dreams.

Stan Nze’s sweet Birthday Message To His Wife

On his wife’s birthday in 2021, he told Nigerians during the sweetest birthday message that his wife was the absolute best thing to ever happen to him.

He explained that his wife has brought him nothing but love, joy and peace, praising his wife in their Igbo dialect.

Sharing a short video of their moments together, Stan wrote,

“To my Ori aku, Lolo Nze 1 of the Nzerians kingdom, my beautiful baby, my confidant, the wife of my youth, my lover, my best friend. Tomato Jos m, apu na anwu, ugogbe ezinuno m. I love you, my queen.

You are legit the best thing that has happened to me and as you have brought so much joy into my life, may joy and happiness be your experience now and forever more. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS NZE.”

Lesson

Stan Nze has shown that he is a man who cares little for society’s ideals or expectation and rather puts himself and his happiness first. At the end of the day, it’s all about finding people you can not live without and people who bring you happiness and peace. The society does not always have to control your decisions.

We are glad he went on ahead to make the right decision for himself despite pressures from society.
