Mercy Chinwo Is Officially Off The Market

Popular Gospel musician Mercy Chinwo is engaged. The surprising news hit the internet on  23rd of June, 2022.

Mercy Chinwo and Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa announced that they were engaged in their respective instagram pages, sharing some super sweet loved up couple pictures.

Who is Mercy Chinwo?

Mercy Chinwo is a Nigerian gospel singer who is most notable for her song “Excess love”. She  first rose into media prominence after winning the Nigerian Idol back in 2012.

She  was born on September 5, 1991, in Rivers State, Portharcourt. She did not grow up with her father having lost him at a really young age.

Mercy Chinwo released her first single “Testimony” back in 2015, 3 years after winning Nigeria’s Idol. She has since then released a lot of songs that have gained widespread prominence in Nigerian and across Africa.

Mercy Chinwo And Blessed Engagement

In the instagram post made by Mercy Chinwo, she shared cute loved up pictures of her and her fiancée with the caption

“I am blessed to be blessed with @theofficialblessed  The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you makes the blessing more real I love you Sweet,”.

Pastor Blessed also echoed how excited he felt about starting a new phase with his love, writing:

“I’m the man the Lord showed Mercy. @mercychinwo thanks for saying YES! I LOVE YOU DEARLY !

They both also shared cute videos of the engagement in their respective instagram pages.

Why we do not know when exactly they met, we do know that they are pastors in the popular celebrity church The Waterbrook (TWB). Our guess is that they both found and fell for each other while working as pastors in the church.

This seems like a match made In heaven.
