Love From The Scratch (The Story Of Obi Cubana And Lush Eby)  

Obi Cubana and Lush Eby’s marriage is really one of a kind. The socialite and businessman used to stay in a one-room apartment in Abuja. It was not always rosy for him but his lover then, Ebele, stood by him through thick and thin now she’s the mother of his children. Let’s start by introducing this lovely couple. 

Who is Obi Cubana? 

Obinna Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana is a Nigerian entrepreneur, Businessman and the Chairman of Cubana Group. He was born on the 12th of April 1975. He hails from Oba, Idemili South, Anambra State

Who is Lush Eby?

Her full name is Ebele Iyiegbu. She is the co-founder and co-owner of KIEK Foundation. She is also involved in her husband’s business and is a big part of the Casa-Cubana homes, the Cubana real estate business. 

Their Love Story

The businessman has not always been swimming in riches because the first time he met Ebele, he was living in a one-bedroom apartment in Abuja. Their love started from scratch, they grew together and he said that Ebele was not after money. While sharing his grass to grace story, he stated that they later moved to a three-bedroom flat after they got married. 

“I started dating my wife when I was living in a room… we were like four guys staying inside one room without a bed, the foam was on the floor,” he said.

“It wasn’t about the money, but we are happy. I married her when I was living in a 3-bedroom flat. Peace brings prosperity, money does not keep marriage but money makes marriage easier.”

The two got married in 2008 and it has been 14 years of ease and plenty. They are blessed with five sons and Ebele is often referred to as “Mama Boys”.

The business Mogul said that getting married to his wife has been one of the best decisions of his life while celebrating their upcoming 14th wedding anniversary on the 14th of June 2022.

On a live video with Obi Cubana and Lush Eby on the 13 of June 2022, Obi stated that love, mutual understanding and respect are one of the things that sustain a marriage.  He also joked about Lush being the one to toast him first when she used to come to his house to eat Egusi soup. He said one of the reasons why he is a big businessman is because he was content and that he never used to wish that he was in Someone else’s shoes.

In a relationship, both parties have to work to make things work. As you can see Lush is a hard worker and like the adage says, behind every successful man is a woman. If the woman is lazy then it might be a different story. Yes, many men become successful without a woman, but in a relationship, you need the other person to push you sometimes to do things or to agree with you on something so you can go for it.
