Did Odunlade Adekola Cheat On His Wife-What we know About His Marriage

Odunlade has been in a lot of controversies especially in the last few years all linking back to his rumored flings with fellow Nollywood Yoruba Actors.

Are the rumors true? Did he really cheat on his wife? Here’s what we know;

Who is Odunlade Adekola?

Odunlade Adekola is a Nollywood actor, producer and director. He is most notorious for his humorous movies and his hilarious memes widely used today.

He has an funny easy going personality which has made him a top favorite for a lot of Nigerians, However, his rumored flings and cheating allegations only begs the questions, Is personality more important than personal morals?

Odunlade Adekola And His Wife Ruth

Odunlade met his wife Ruth back in 2003. At the time he was just beginning to gain prominence in the movie zone. He was attracted to Ruth who was at the time a student of the University of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.

He was also the son of of one of the elders and ministers in the church which she also attended Christ Apostolic Church.

At first, she was very skeptical about getting into any sort of relationship with him owing to the fact that he was a media personality and would naturally attract the eye of various women. However, the church and family played a major role in convincing her to give Odunlade a  chance and he seems to have won her over with his persistence because she finally obliged him his request.

They both got into a relationship and soon after, got married in 2003. Today, they both share 4 beautiful kids together (all boys) and they seem to be committed in marking their marriage work long term.

Despite his marriage, Odunlade on several occasions has been linked to dating to some nollywood Actress. He has of course debunked those rumors various times

“I was shocked and enraged when I read in the news that two married actresses were fighting dirty over me. I don’t know why they would drag my name which I have spent years of hard work to build in the mud just like that.”

However sources close to him confirm that there are some truths to those rumors. They revealed  that he was a very smart man and had mastered the art of playing his games very well and hidden.

His wife also seemed to be aware of his misdemeanor but has made peace with t the fact she got married to an entertainer who will naturally catch the eye of many.

She is focused more on building her family long term and only asks that Odunlade accords her some respect.

Odunlade’s leverage in these affairs is his constant declaration of love to his wife and the reminder that he is a pastor’s son and not ready to divorce Ruth or have a second wife.

The source spoke on how Odunlade met and married his wife and that her soft nature always made Odunlade ‘have a conscience and determination to never openly engage or admit any extra marital affair or humiliate his wife.’

Odunlade’s Rumored Flings

Odunlade and Taiwo Aromokun

Taiwo is so far the only female in Odunlade’s life to openly admit being in a relationship with him despite knowing he was married. The relationship seemed to be serious, at least on her part because she was talking about marriage with him.

According to her, she broke up with him  after finding out that he was not willing to leave his marriage for her neither was he willing to take her in as his second wife.

Odunlade And Eniola Ajao

This relationship was Odunlade’s most controversial rumored relationship outside his marriage till date. He appeared in a couple of movies with Eniola and it seems more than a friendship blossomed between them because rumor peddlers revealed that he even got her an apartment in the top spot of Lagos state.

This apartment was what was allegedly  used for their subsequent extramarital tryst together.

Eniola has come out to completely deny these rumors. She stated that Odunlade is nothing more than a friend to her and that she is also very friendly to his wife, Ruth and so she would never do that to a friend or a married man for that matter.

In her own words during an interview

“Odunlade and I have known each other for many years now. He is married and has kids. He is a very close friend. I know his wife and nothing on earth can make me date him. I have no reasons to have a fling with any man, especially a married man,” she said in an interview.

Odunlade And Bukola Adeeyo

The Yoruba actress was also rumored to have been in a relationship with Odunlade. This rumors even became more fierce when she gave birth to her child back kn 2017. The speculations was that Odunlade was responsible for her daughter.

Bukola countered this accusation by revealing another man as the father of her baby. Even though, she debunked the rumors, people still believed the possibility that the baby could be hers and Odunlade’s.

Odunlade And Tope Solaja

Tope Solaja is a Yoruba actress and also a married woman, so being linked to Odunlade who is also married was as expected a daunting blow on her reputation. She has repeatedly denied the accusations, chalking it up to frustrated media houses desperate for a news headline.

Despite all the rumors and controversies Odunlade seems to be swimming in, he is still fixated on making his marriage work with his wife.

Marriage is not an easy structure for two humans to be in, so it paramount that commitments made to partners are not taken for granted. Mistakes can happen in the course of a marriage, but the most important thing is being able to walk through the mistake and being committed to never doing the wrong things again and instead doing the right things.
