Celine Dion Met Her Late Husband At Age 12

Celine Dion and Rene Angelil had one of the most beautiful and longest standing love stories  in Hollywood.

Celine Dion met her late husband when she was just 12. But they did not get together until some time had passed between them because of her age and their startling age difference.

You see, Rene Angelil was 21 years old older than Celine Dion, hence, their love story wasn’t one that was not readily accepted by people at first.

Rene Angelil and Celine Dion tied the knot in 1994 and also decided to renew their vows in 2000.

They were together for so long and loved each so intensely that when Renee lost his battle with cancer back in 2016, it was a very difficult pill for Celine Dion to swallow.

The couple – who had a 26 year age gap – got that affects one in a million people.

How did Celine Dion and René Angelil meet?

They both started off as business associates before anything blossomed between them.

Rene was her manager when she was just 13.

The first time she had sang for Rene, she had reduced him to tears.

It was right at that moment that she knew that she was doing something right with her voice and singling and would ck turn to explore it.

The lovebirds who started off as business societies decided to take things up a notch once she turned 19.

They dated secretly for a while and it even stretched to years before she decided to reveal that she had been dating Rene through a song.

In her album, color of loves, she expressed her love for him in her sleeve notes.

They got engaged back in 1992 and said “I do” 3 years later in 1994z

Celine Dion revealed how unsurprised she was that they eventually got married. She believes that they both were always moving in the same direction.

According to her, they had the same goals, the same dreams and the same visions.

When did Celine Dion Lose Her Husbad

Celine Dion lost her husband in the 14th of January, 2016.

He died of a rebound throat cancer which he battled with back in 90s.

He did win it and become cancer free but the disease reared its ugly head again as he got older.

Marking his 6th anniversary, in 2022, Celine posted a black and white photo of her late husband with the caption

“I would be lying if I said I’m fine, I think of you at least a hundred times, cause in the echo of my voice I hear your words just like you’re there.” “miss you – Céline xx.”

Celine Dion And Renee Children

Celine Dion had struggled with fertility issues earlier before welcoming her children.

After she gave birth to her first child, it took her another 10 years to welcome her twins.This time around it happened after over 7 rounds of failed IVF procedures.

During an interview with CBS’s Mo Rocca she was  asked about Renee, this is what she had to say

“For me especially, and my children, to see the man of my life die a little bit more every day. And when he left, it was kind of a relief for me that the man that I love, the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved.”

“Yeah. I never kissed another man in my life. So the man of my life was my partner, and we were one. So when he stopped suffering I said to myself, he’s ok. And he deserves not to suffer.”

It seems like Celine Dion isn’t getting into any relationship any time soon.
