At the same period of these speculations, it became known to the public that Jhene was filing a divorce from her producer husband Dot Da Genius and she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
After she filed for divorce, her and Big Sean started making more public appearances together confirming fully that they were now a couple.
They made their first official couple appearance at the Los Angeles Lakers game at the Staples Center. They were seen giggling like teenagers and holding hands throughout the game.

Jhene Aiko and Big Sean welcomed their baby Noah Hasani in November 8, 2020.
The baby was born after 24 full hours of labor and pouring rain.
