5 Reasons Paul Okoye And Anita Okoye Are Getting A Divorce

It’s no news to Nigerians that Paul Okoye and his wife Anita Okoye are separated from each other and have been since 2021.

The news came in as a shocker and dropped like a bomb in 2021 with so many people drawing various speculations on the reason for their split.

The 5 Reasons Paul Okoye and Anita Okoye are divorcing

Anita has cited irreconcilable differences for the reasons for her divorce, but, in a court document that went viral, we finally became privy to the real reasons.

Anita filed a  petition agains Paul Okoye where she made several allegations against him. This allegations have been condensed to 5.

1. Illicit Affair

She accused Paul of having an affair with their house maid whose name is identified as Florence. When she discovered their affair, he had proceeded to kick her and sister out of their matrimonial home back in June of 2020.

2 – Forced Separation

Anita also revealed In the court petition that Paul had sent her packing out of the house against her will as a bid to clip her wings. This hinted at the fact that Anita is not living together with Paul.

At the time he sent her packing, she had nowhere to lean on and it had taken a daunting toll on her emotional and mental well being.

She is currently based in Atlanta back in the USA where she resides and takes care of their kids.

Paul also reportedly visited his children just once back in September of 2021.

3 –Absentee Father

Anita went further to reveal that Paul Okoye was rarely present in their children a lives. She said that eighth from their upbringing, he had showed sparse interest in anything concerning them. He prioritized his music, tours and travels against his special family time.

4 – Fraud

The petition papers also reveals that Anita had accused Paul of defrauding her of what rightfully belongs to her. She reveals that she got cheated out of a mutual deal which the aim was to build a mall that they will both be co- owners.

She contributed a whooping 10 million naira and they both had an agreement that she would be given a space at the mall once everything was completed.

This was back in 2019.

The petition papers read

“That I know as a fact that the Petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019.

“That the Petitioner and the Respondent agreed to build a mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the Petitioner contributed N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.”

“That I know as a fact that the Respondent, upon completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and failed to give TannkCo a space in the mall.

5. Painful experiences

The final reason given in the court petition was that Anita had gone through rather painful experiences in the hands of Paul. These experiences were not explicitly dived into but a witness and close friend of the family revealed that she had gone through a lot while in the marriage.

How did Paul Okoye and Anita meet?

Paul met Anita for the first time back in 2004. It was during their u set graduate days at the University Of Abuja.

They both dated for 10 solid years before finally tying the knot in March 22, 2014.

Their unions birthed 3 beautiful children named Andre, and then the popular twins Nathan and Nadia.
