Queen Naomi Cites Her Marital Status As Reason For Recent Bullying

The Ooni of Ife’s estranged wife Naomi Ogunwusi has revealed that she was recently a victim of bullying because of her marital status.

Queen Naomi stated that she fell into a couple of issues with the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Akure  and she expressed her belief that they Nigerian system has once again failed women.

She also went on to declare that because she walked away from her marriage does not make her less of a human and does not take away her fundamental rights as a human being.

This is understandable since we live in a society that places so much importance on married women as opposed to single ladies.

It should  be recalled that back in 2021, December, Naomi renounced her title and openly separated from her husband the Ooni of Ife due to some personal reasons.

She spilled that some day she would be able to tell her story and reveal all the details of her marriage crisis with the Oba Adeyemi Enitan.

In her social media page she wrote,

“No woman deserves to be bullied. Walking away from abuse should not take away your fundamental human rights and dignity as a woman what just happened with the Assistant Commissioner of police at the AIG’s office (Zone 17) in Akure is a pointer to the fact that the system has failed womanhood again. Does it mean that walking away from a relationship means you should commit suicide?”

Her sister also reacted and commented on her social media post spewing to her followers that the Queen had in fact really gone through a lot in the past as regards to her marriage.

The former Queen’s sister, Simi Oluwaseyi wrote;

“No woman deserves 1% of what you went through, still going through, you have really tried and enough is enough!!!! It’s about time the sleeping dog wakes!!!”

In response to the message, Queen Naomi replied;

“It will be a rude awakening you know when I am pushed I will rather d*e…..thank you all for standing by me through this very difficult period, they don’t know what’s going on but God will be faithful.”
