The Love Story Of George Clooney And Amal Clooney Will Warm Your Heart

George Clooney and Amal Clooney’s love story is one of our favorite love stories to tell and for good reason too.

Barely 6 months into dating Amal Clooney, George proposed to her, and some months later, they got married.

Their romance might have been a fast paced one, but it’s genuine and seems to be long lasting since they’re still together till today.

When Did George Clooney And Amal Clooney Meet?

The love birds met for the first time back in July of 2014.

During a dinner gathering in Italy,  George and Amal got together and felt a strong connection almost immediately.

George found Amal Clooney who was a human rights lawyer very interesting.

He thought she was so beautiful, goofy and also very smart.

At the time, George did not quite know what Amal would make of him.

He was a bit scared that she might think him too old for her.

You see, there was a significant 16 year age difference between them.

Amal was in her  while George was in his 50s.

But, they started to communicating through their phone and she sent him her personal photos. They spoke consistently and grew to become close friends but the more they spoke, the more they realized that they were much more than just friends.

George asked her out in October and  it was an invitation to the Abbey Road Studios where he was a supervisor for the movie “Monuments Men”.

After that, Amal Clooney recommended a movie place for them and they went there.

There were a lot of paparazzi present but that did not stop them from fully enjoying themself.

They spent the next months together after that, celebrating Christmas together.

And then finally they went on a cute Safari trip to Kenya before they separated and got back to their normal lives.

According to George, after the trip he knew immediately that she was the one for him.

He told his friends about her and told them of his plans to marry her.

He proposed to her during an intimate dinner he planned. He remembered that she was less than enthusiastic when she spotted the ring, which was in typical Amal Clooney fashion.

She eventually accepted his proposal happily but then the song he initially chose for their special moment had already passed and they were hit with a more boppy song which he had selected for a different  moment. His proposal isn’t one he remembers fondly.

Their wedding happened in Venice and while they originally planned to keep it a secret, people found out and they eventually decided to stop hiding the fact that were married.

While they were dating, the topic of having kids never really came up. Once they got married, they had a conversation on how lucky they have been and wanting to share that with their children.

They both welcomed twins back in and they do not have land of welcoming any other child since Amal was in her 39 when she gave birth which was quite late.

George has also revealed that his only regret was not meeting her earlier in his life. He wished he had met her earlier so that he would have more time to spend with her instead of meeting her in his 50s.
