Gabrielle Monique Union Wade is a multi-talented actress and movie producer.

She’s most famous for her movies; 10 things I hate about you, Think like a man and Deliver us from Eva.

Gabrielle Union was born in October, 1972 In Omaha, Nebraska to a phone company manager and social worker.

She has been in the movie scene for decades now, and is also one of the best paid actresses in the world.

Her other popular movies include; The Brothers, Daddy’s Little Girls, Breaking In, Cradle to the grave, Bad boy 2 and Top  5..

Gabrielle Union is currently married to ex professional basketball player, Dwayne wade. They pair have a  child together,  Kavia James and 2 kids from Dwayne’s former relationship .

Although these 2 have been together for a long time, Gabrielle Union has had her fair share of the dating and relationship pool before finally finding ”The one”.

In a surprising news, Gabrielle Union revealed that before the fame and popularity she had dated Jason Kidd back in high school.

 She also remembers that he broke up with her in high school by giving her a thumbs down a few weeks before  junior prom.

She  recalls her father being present  through it all.

“With my father standing there,. “It stuck with me. That’s where the karma was like, ‘B**ch, there you are! Because, all the s**t that you’ve been doing to these poor people, and here I am.”

Chris Howard 

Gabrielle Union and Chris Howard were married for 4 years. Chris Howard Is an American football player who was born in May 1975.

A lot of people were against their relationship owing to the fact that he did not make a lot of effort in their marriage.

To begin with, he proposed to her while they were on a date in the popular fast food joint. This, to a lot of people, showed a lack of seriousness.

The two divorced because of his numerous cheating scandals.

Sources confirmed that Gabrielle Union had suspected that Howard was cheating on her a few days before the wedding but still went ahead with the marriage.

Ludacris

After her heartbreaking split from her husband Chris Howard back in 2005, Gabrielle union and Ludacris hit together briefly.

The romance lasted barely 3 months  but sources close to them confirmed that they were both very happy with each other and looked so in love.

Dwayne Wade

This pair met for the first time right after Gabrielle Union had recently divorced her first husband, former NFL player Chris Howard.

Wade on the other hand was already married.

Eventually Wade’s relationship with his wife ended and in 2010, Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union made their relationship known to everyone.

The couple appeared on the February 2012 cover of Essence together, but they were not enthusiastic about a marriage yet.

“We’re not rushing it,” Wade told the magazine. “Both of us have been married before, and we understand that if we choose to marry again, we want it to be right. We both took failing at marriage hard. The next time it’s gotta be forever.”

Despite their claims, In 2014, they both got married in an intimate ceremony .

After almost 4 years of trying for a child, in 2018, the couple welcomed their first child together Kavia. Dwayne Wade also has 2 children from his previous marriage.

When asked about the secret to their successful relationship, Dwayne had this to say

“It’s about learning about each other, learning what she wants for her life and for her career and trying to support all those things,” he said.

Gabrielle also agreed with his sentiments adding in her words 

 “This is both of our second marriages, and we’re super transparent about that. We didn’t do it right, the first time around. There’s another way — to be more collaborative and equitable. We humble ourselves, listen and we meet in the middle.”

The pair are still together and happy having been with each other for almost 10 years.

Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade’s Cheating Scandal

Gabrielle Union revealed in her memoir We’re going to need more wine that Dwayne Wade  had cheated on her.

In her own words

“In 2013, before we were married, Dwyane had a baby with another woman,”

“It should go without saying that we were not in a good place in our relationship at the time that child was conceived.”

”But we were in a much better place when he finally told me about the pregnancy. To say I was devastated is to pick a word on a low shelf for convenience. “

“There are people — strangers who I will never meet — who have been upset that I have not previously talked about that trauma. I have not had words, and even after untold amounts of therapy I am not sure I have them now. But truth matters.”

This was a difficult time for Gabrielle Union especially seeing that were already in an almost  5 year relationship.

We are thankful that the couple somehow managed to sail through it and are in a much better place today.

Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade both come from failed marriages but it did not deter them away from finding love or getting married again.

It is the blind trust that even though something did not necessarily work out for you the first time, you can always try again.
