Breaking News – Rico Swavey Is Dead

Ex big brother Naija housemate Rico Swavey whose real name is Patrick Fakoya has now been confirmed dead.

This news hit the social media space fiercely on Thursday the 13th of October, 2022.

His colleagues who were  around him during the entire ordeal were the ones to first confirm his sad death earlier this morning.

Let’s recall that on Wednesday, the 12th of October, Alex Unusual had come on Twitter to reveal that Rico swavey had been involved in a ghastly motor accident and was currently in critical condition. She had pleaded with Nigerians to pray for him.

In the evening that preceded, Nigerian entertainers had rallied around for ways to contribute money for his medical condition.

They launched a fundraiser for him and asked the public for their support and donations.

Please help save Rico. He had a really bad car accident. We have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while we pray for God’s miracle.

We can’t do it alone. Please click on the link to donate at ricoswavey.com,” Tobi Bakre had tweeted as he clamored for more donations for Rico on Wednesday.

Alex Unusual had also taken to her Instagram page on Wednesday to plead with her fans and Nigerians in general for their assistance.

“I wish I didn’t have to post this but my friend is in a critical condition and we are in need of your financial assistance and prayers.”

His social media team also revealed that he was currently on life support and the donations would help him stay longer on the life support.

Nigerians are still experiencing  shock over the

news of his death.

Rico Swavey’s BBN colleague, Tobi Bakare was one of the first people to announce his passing.

He took to  his Instagram handle to post a photo and a short heartbreaking caption.

“This is how I will remember us brother. Forever ” RIP”

Alex Unusual also took to her Twitter  to express how heartbroken she was over the situation.

She wrote, “This was not what we agreed Rico, Rest in peace.”
