In Nigerian gospel music, Sinach stands as a beacon of inspiration, her songs resonating across continents. Yet, behind this illustrious career is a partnership that has been both her anchor and support—her marriage to Pastor Joseph Egbu. Together, they exemplify a union rooted in faith, purpose, and mutual respect.
A Meeting of Hearts and Missions
Sinach, born Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, hails from Ebonyi State, Nigeria. She began her musical journey in 1989, singing as a hobby while serving as a staff and choir member at Christ Embassy, under the leadership of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Her dedication and talent led her to become a senior worship leader, with songs like “Way Maker” and “I Know Who I Am” touching lives globally.
In June 2014, Sinach married Pastor Joseph Egbu in a ceremony held at Christ Embassy. Pastor Joe, as he is fondly called, is not only a spiritual leader but also the CEO of GOSGEM, a gospel music label, and the Chairman of SLIC Inspire.
