The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has taken to social media to celebrate his 55th wedding anniversary and his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye popularly called, Mummy G.O. They had their court wedding on the 8th of September, 1967.
Pastor Adeboye posted on his Facebook in the early hours of his wedding anniversary, that his wife chose him even after having many suitors who chased after her back in 1967. He also appreciated her for standing by him and making their marriage a success, even though people felt it wouldn’t have been in the past, together, they proved them wrong.
He said: “My darling @pastorfoluadeboye the woman who has suffered with me, she stood by me when we had nothing. I was the poorest and the least known of all the men after her 55yrs ago.
“But she left all those who were famous, well to do and she picked me. Thank God, God had made us a success and proven all the opposition back then wrong.
