Pastor Chris take on divorce is that it is a choice. Divorce is a really confusing issue for a lot of Christians. They do not know if they are supposed to leave when they can no longer stay in the marriage or if they are supposed to bear the pain and stay together till they die. Whichever way, the majority of Christians are confused.
Recall that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome finalized his divorce from his ex-wife, Anita on the 8th of February 2016. He said that Christians should not get divorced. He added that it is wrong for partners to take themselves to court.
He said; ‘Christians should not have a divorce. It shouldn’t be but that doesn’t mean a Christian should not take the step, they may, but that doesn’t make it right and we shouldn’t take each other to court. But when it happens, we are not the one going.”
He also added that people should pray for their partners rather than leave them. He said that even if you are a man of a God, It is important to pray for your wife because being the wife doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can also make mistakes.
