Jackie Appiah is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress who is known for how she plays her role so well in movies. She lives the role. Jackie has only been married once and she was very private with it so nothing much is posted on the media about it

She got married to Peter Agyemang and it is rumoured that they only dated for a few months before getting married. They had a private wedding in 2005 and it didn’t draw the attention of the public until she got pregnant with her first child. There’s nothing much about Peter so we have nothing about how they got married. All we know is that Peter is a Ghanaian businessman. 

What Happened To Jackie Appiah’s Marriage?

The marriage lasted for only three years and after that Jackie felt that she had gotten enough so she walked away. It came as a shock to the public because everyone expected Jackie’s marriage to last because of the roles she played in her movies. She always acted as a full wife material and she portrayed good wifely characters. Apparently, it’s easier to act than to be married in real life. 

The media tried all its best to get information about their divorce but unfortunately, both parties were adamant to speak and never said a word about their divorce. Everyone wanted to know because they all seemed really happy at the beginning but just like other failed marriages, they all start very well. 

They were speculations that Peter was a dangerous man and he was abusing Jackie. Post of these accusations was taken down almost immediately. Peter also called people who accused him of domestic violence including Jackie, liars. They finalized their divorce in 2012 after years of back and forth and Jackie was allowed to take custody of their son who was also their only child, Damian Agyemang.

Damian was born on the 13th of September, 2005. He is always seen in public with his mum so it’s quite obvious that they have a close relationship with each other. They also have a close resemblance. Damian has never been seen with his father in public so we are unsure whether he has a close relationship with his father or not. 

Jackie Appiah has also made it clear that she doesn’t want to have anything to do with her ex-husband. At Samira Yakubu’s wedding ceremony, Jackie’s manager, Jackie had refused to snap a picture with Peter. After much pressure to take the picture with him, she walked out of the premises. Whatever Peter did to Jackie Appiah, she will never forgive. It must have been deep. 

Jackie And Her Nigerian Boyfriend

In 2013, there were rumours after her divorce that the ace actress was dating a Nigerian man called, Michael Bobby Obodo who is an activist and a Nigerian actor. There were speculations about their relationship after the two were seen together attending ceremonies and functions together in Ghana. Some fans formulated news saying that Michael had met Jackie’s family and her family had approved of their relationship. 

People hoped for an engagement or a wedding date but we can’t say what happened to the love birds. Maybe they broke up. 

In 2020, Jackie was called out for dating George Weah, the president of Liberia and she was pregnant for him.

The actress didn’t hesitate to debunk the news as she stated that it was Ghanaian Media who wanted to impregnate her with their false stories all in the name of gaining traffic for your blog. 

Jackie Appiah is currently a Single mother who loves and takes care of her son. She has no husband and has not presented anyone as a boyfriend yet. She has decided to focus most of her energy on her business and acting career.
