There has been speculation that the Nigerian actress has divorced her husband, Franklin Akpotha but the news has not been confirmed to be true nor false. Chioma Akoptha is known for keeping her relationship private, in fact, her whole family because she also hides the identity of her children. 

Who is Chioma Akoptha?

Chioma Akoptha is an award-winning Nigerian actress and director. She is one of the richest and most influential actresses in Nigeria. She is presently still married to her husband, Franklin Akoptha as she still proudly bears his name.

The two walked down the aisle in 2006 and since then, they have been together. Their family has been far away from controversies and media problems because they don’t even give people what to talk about.

Chioma had done a great job by keeping her family out of Social media. Now, look at her enjoying peace of mind. Their wedding in 2006 was so private that there are no pictures of it online and they were only very few people in attendance. She always avoids personal questions about her love life and her husband, Franklin.

No one really knows the face of her husband as it is only one picture of him and Chioma that has circulated in the media. It is not still confirmed that he is indeed the one in the picture.

When Chioma was asked in an interview about her husband, the actress only said that she was happily married and ended the conversation. It is said that Franklin is a quiet businessman.

The couples have two children. She gave birth to her first child, a boy in 2007, a year after getting married then had her second child several years after.

Rumours Of Chioma Akoptha’s Divorce

Rumours of Chioma’s divorce came after she said it was tough taking care of her two children in an interview with Saturday beat. 

A fan even wrote that Chioma’s husband was a thorn in the flesh as if she knew him. She said this,

“Watching flips from Rita’s trad today, I really love how Chioma Chukwuka has been shining and glowing since her divorce. That man was a torn in her flesh jare”.

This was after Chioma appeared at the wedding ceremony of her colleague and friend, Rita Dominic.

Chioma Akoptha is still answering her husband’s name everywhere so we do not know if they indeed had a divorce or if it was just a flimsy rumour.
