I Denounce My Role Model Status – Tuface Idibia Pens Emotional Note

Nigerian music legend, Tuface Idibia took to his instagram page on the 8th of August to apologize publicly to his wife and family for all the embarrassments he has caused them.

The Idibias have over the last couple of years been hit with so numerous controversies.

This would not be the first time that he would be making a public statement concerning his marriage or family.

His post on instagram reads:

“This is no (a) stunt. I’m sorry for all the embarrassment I’ve caused my wife, my kids, my mother and all our families and my management team.”

He explained to Nigerians that he was not seeking sympathy or looking for ways that will make him appear good in the eye of the public. He just wanted to finally do right.

In his lengthy instagram post, he continues;

“I’ve been a shity father and a shity husband and shitty baby daddy. I’ve no excuses, I just want to do right by my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends.”

“I beg you all to please just face me and cancel me anyhow. I’ve been a star for so long that my bulletproof vest is worn-out. I’m not quitting or suicidal or giving up.”

The singer concluded saying he just wants to make music and be remembered.

“I just want to go back to my default settings and denounce my role model status and make up for lost time with my kids and give you all music that will make you remember and understand why they call me 2baba.”
