Yes, celebrities experience heartbreak even with all the money. Heartbreak is a respecter of no man. Many of us knew when these celebrities had gotten married because they announced their wedding.

It was probably the talk of the town because fans were excited for them. They bought really expensive gowns and suits, rented the most expensive hotels, event centres, travelled outside the country, and invited the best guests but somehow, they ended up getting a divorce. This is one of the things that make a lot of people say true love does not exist, because of the things they see and hear. There is true love everywhere, but we have refused to look that way because the couples are unpopular. Your neighbours, your parents who are still together, you see all these but you have agreed that love doesn’t exist because of the celebrities who had failed marriages.

Tonto Dikeh

Tonto Dikeh got married to Churchill on the 29th of August 2015. They welcomed their son in 2016 and in 2017, they had a messy divorce.

What Went Wrong In Their Marriage?

Tonto Dikeh came out to accuse her husband of domestic violence and extramarital affairs with his P.A who is now his wife, Rosy Meurer.

Tonto accused Rosy of being the reason for her failed marriage and why her then husband left her and her son. Of course, Rosy denies it and on her birthday, Churchill pens down a message for her, calling her Miss Churchill. In another post, he hailed her keeping a hashtag, #twoyearsandstronger.

Churchill also defended himself saying his marriage was built on falsity and allegations. He stated that he had never laid his hands on her. Things have been messy with these two to date. Allegations and counter-allegations have been flying around the place.

In 2021, Tonto Dikeh started dating her love Interest, Prince Joseph Kpokpogiri but it crashed and Tonto Dikeh is back to being single.

Ik Ogbonna

Just like Tonto, IK and his wife Sonia Morales started to drag each other after they separated. At some point, the public realised and expected their marriage to crash because of how much negativity they started to push towards each other. Sonia was always complaining about his poor living condition. No constant light, mosquito bites and shortage of water.  In 2019, Sonia announced their divorce and they went their separate ways. They got married in 2015 and they have a son called Ace.

Toke Makinwa

Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayide married in 2014. While speaking to the ‘Tea with Taymesan’ podcast, Toke stated that divorce felt like death. It felt like someone had died and age had lost someone. Speaking on the Podcast, she recalled her 30th birthday and how she boasted about having a successful career and being married before 30. Her Marriage crashed due to Make’s infidelity.

She stated that it was a terrible case for her because the public already figured it out before she did. It was late and it was everywhere already. She also added that it was her job and her relationship with God that helped her find her feet.

Ini Edo

The actress got married to her ex-husband, Philip Ehiagwina in 2008. Ini Edo revealed that distance and interference caused the collapse of their marriage. They were married for 6 years, from 2008-2014. She said this while speaking to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the Rubbin minds show on Channels TV. She said,

“No matter the indifference or incompatibility, if you’re together in love, a lot of things can actually work out. However, you don’t get to work things out when there is no contact. When you are with someone, and you can’t agree on certain things or find a common ground, I think being together could have actually helped us to understand each other better.”

Osas Ighodaro

Osas is a beautiful Nigerian actress. She got married to her ex-husband, Gbenro Ajibade in 2015 but the marriage crashed in 2019 after having a child together. They met on the set of the TV series, Tinsel.

After Osas gave birth to their baby girl, Gbenro accused Osas of having weak parental skills. This made people understand that there was trouble in paradise. While speaking on Rubbin minds, Gbenro stated that they were not just separated but they were also divorced. People accused him of marrying Osas for US green card because she had dual citizenship but he defended himself saying that if that was what he wanted alone, he wouldn’t have spent so much money on the wedding and time to involve both families. Osas also defended him saying that he had other opportunities to get a green card but he never did. She said that Gbenro never saw himself being in a romantic relationship until he met her.

The two broke up amicably even though Gbenro took to his Instagram to say that Osas left their daughter in the hands of total strangers to party with friends. He also said that he was not going to disregard her as she is still the mother of his kid. If the matter arises for him to act a movie with her, he said he is ready because they have a good relationship even after their divorce.
