Timaya and Barbara’s Relationship

The two started dating in 2014 and that same year, Barbara gave birth. She has two daughters for the award-winning singer. She stated that she broke up with Timaya because she figured out that was cheating on her and she couldn’t take it. It was reported that he got her an apartment in Ikeja, Lagos and also got her a GL 450 4MATIC Benz car. In 2017, Timaya also said that Barbara was his kind of girl and according to Barbara, he had promised her loyalty.

They broke up and she blamed distance because she was based in the US but she came to Lagos from time to time. Barbara said that she has moved on with her life and she is now dating an Igbo guy called Uche.

Tamar is the mother of Timaya’s first son, Emmanuel. She had him in July 2018. Just as he got Barbara a Benz car, he got Tamar a Range Rover and also opened an interior decor showroom. She is a widow and she has a child from her last marriage.

Dunnie had a child for Timaya in May 2020 but it was announced on the 17th of November. Dunnie is an event producer, muralist and visual studio artist. She’s currently working as an instructor in VisArts centre, Rockville in USA.

She is said to have been married to a video director called Ibrahim Hassan. They met in 2011 and tied the knot in 2015. They got divorced in 2018 after she accused him of domestic violence.

Empress was his first public recognizable girlfriend. It was short and she also did not have a baby for him. They started dating in 2008 and broke up in 2009. When they broke up, it was reported that Timaya went to her church service to retrieve the car he got for her. The security there didn’t let him leave and it started a small fight. He had come into the church since he had the spare keys and tried to leave with the car without seeing her. After almost a decade Timaya explained in an interview with the OAP, Daddy Freeze that the car was given to him by a female fan and the fan was pissed that he gave it to his girlfriend.

He stated that he gave Empress the car on the verge of their breakup and that after they broke up, he asked for it but she refused to return it. That was why he had to go to her church.

The two have buried the hatchet as they were seen together at 2face Idibia’s birthday party in 2012.
