Who doesn’t want a happy marriage? Except of course you are married for the wrong reasons. A happy marriage is possible if we take into consideration the secrets to a happy marriage. Marriage is supposed to be the coming together of two People who are ready to commit towards a goal.

There are countless of unhappy marriages in the world. The statistics are alarming. Everyone walking to the altar or currently married must be doing something that takes then away from the statistics rather than add them to it. As long as couples do not take these secrets to a happy marriage seriously, the statistics will continue to rise. 

So, what are these secrets? 

You are not in marriage for yourself

You must realise that one of the secrets to a happy marriage is that you are in the union first for the other person before yourself. Many people walk into marriage thinking about all they will get. They go into marriage thinking about all that marriage will give to them. Most do not spare any thought for what they will give to Marriage. 


The proof of love is giving

See, giving us not convenient most times but if you love you will give. This is one of the secrets to a happy marriag. Give your time, money, attention, gifts, positive words and selfless service to your partner and your marriage goals.
If the proof of love is giving, it means the more you both give, the more you both feel love in the marriage. 

Marriage Goals and Mission

Just like every venture in life, without goals, you are just running in a cycle. One of the secrets to a happy marriage is to both create a goal you can both work towards achieving. Answer these questions:
Where do we want to be in the next five years in our marriage? What will we do individually every day to help us get there?

With these two questions, you have answered the Goal and Mission of your marriage at least for the next five years.

The secret to a happy marriage is not a secret after all. It has become ineffective because many of us have failed to utilise it. What we don’t use will not work for us.
